Kids & Dogs: Strangely Similar

Hanging around my nephews (ages 3 and 7 mos) brings to mind so many similarities between little kids and dogs, I just had to share my findings.
Here's my list:

1. Kids and dogs can entertain themselves.
2. They both love to go for walks and/or just be outdoors.
3. They love new toys but tire of them after just a little while.
4. They both are loyal to their masters/or parents.
5. Their poop stinks really bad.
6. Kids have stinky feet; dogs have stinky breath.
7. Kids cost a lot of money.  Guess what!  So do dogs!
8. They both can be exhausting.
9. You can put them in a crate when you go out to dinner.
10. They walk around with their tongues hanging out.
11. They're messy eaters.
12. They love treats.
13. Kids talk back.  Dogs talk back (in their own way).
14. They both need baths & haircuts.
15. They both love unconditionally (time is limited with kids though!).
16. They're both fun to play with.
17. If they're known biters, you can muzzle them. (or if they're just annoying).
18. Sometimes their love and attention can be therapeutic.
19. They're both nice to cuddle with.
20. They both grow up too fast.
