Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 212.?
Weight loss to date: -10.? lbs
I blew it this weekend I think. Well, I don't think, I know. Got really drunk Friday night - had two large Tequila Sunrises with Patron, then a Red Bull and Raspberry Vodka, then a Strawberry Daiquiri, but I didn't finish drink #4. Believe me, I paid for my sins about 4 hours after that last sip.
I didn't do terribly bad on food; however, I did have a few things at Global Grill that I shouldn't have -- but I don't think I overdid it. Rich made amazing chicken and steak fajitas and I had two with flour tortillas. I had some breads at Global as well (bread is a weakness!). Still no McDonalds at least.
Today I did OK with food, but I haven't exercised since Thursday I think.
Breakfast - Yogurt and Strawberries, Green Tea
Lunch - Salad greens with carrots, celery, oven roasted chicken bites and balsamic vinegar dressing.
Dinner - Salmon and Broccoli - burnt. Green tea.
I'm determined to get back on track this week and make that scale go back in the right direction.

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 2 - Day 7
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 211.0
Weight loss to date: -11.8 lbs
Kind of getting frustrated at this point with no weight change overall for like 6 days. Maybe I need to re-read Cycle 2 info.
Today was my first true "cheat" day. Yes, I admit it. Keep reading for details.
Breakfast - Oatmeal (of course) with strawberries and truvia
Lunch - Iceberg lettuce with FF french dressing + baby carrots + celery with FF cream cheese and an orange
Dinner - Well I was PLANNING to have shrimp and brown rice but that didn't work out. We went to Tuscan Oven, probably my favorite restaurant (next to Global Grill) in the city. I ordered a grilled chicken salad over romaine with mandarin oranges and a very yummy raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Rich and Jess ordered the Triple appetizer (cheese bread with 3 dips) and I had once slice with some red dip and some hummus dip. Then I had 3 bites of one slice of their double cut pizza. I savored those three bites. YUM!
I'm sure I'll pay for my choices tomorrow OR with my luck the scale will go down. Who knows. The next place I'm cheating at is Global Grill if we go next week. Other than that I'm going to buy some dark dark chocolate in 1 oz. prepackaged pieces and eat one a day. This suggestion is in the book, but only during the "PMS Week" diet. Dark chocolate is good for you so 1 ounce a day won't hurt and I'll curb any cravings I have for reeses ice cream treats.
So I cheated. So be it. Sometimes you just gotta do it, but I'll be back on track tomorrow. I was thinking of making the knock off "chips" this weekend that's made with kale. And the highly recommended and filling chicken vegetable soup on the 17 Day Diet book. Wish me luck.

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 2 - Day 6
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 211.0
Weight loss to date: -11.8 lbs
YAHOO, a loss. Still not completely happy that I'm still at 211. I walked at lunch today -- inside since it was raining. Some girl kept seeing me pass her up and she said, "Are you just walking on your break?" I said, "Uh....yeah." LOL Disappointed I couldn't get a GPS signal in the building though. Today was a GREAT day for food! It's a Cycle 1 day which are usually boring but today was awesome!
Breakfast - Yogurt and celery
Lunch - Grilled Chicken breast from the cafeteria. Rodney hooked me UP! I had him grill some mushrooms and then grabbed some pickles and onions. It was DIVINE. Worth every penny of the $3.97 I paid.
Dinner - My honey made Jess and I the healthy version of PF Chang's lettuce wraps. We used ground turkey and it was DELICIOUS!

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 2 - Day 5
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 211.4 (ugh!)
Weight loss to date: -11.4 lbs
I have to admit I am losing some steam. I'm a little bit frustrated that my weight is fluctuating around 211ish and not dropping. BUT then I have to admit I am not paying close attention to all of the servings I'm supposed to have of everything and I haven't been walking. So it's probably my own fault.
I have company coming tomorrow for the next 10 days and I know we'll be going out to eat places. I have to stay strong and not be tempted. I CAN make better choices at restaurants. I am the only person that controls what goes in my mouth, right?
Breakfast - Oatmeal + Nectarine
Snack - apple
Lunch - Grilled Chicken Breast from the grill at work + green tea
Dinner - 2 eggs + 1 egg white omelette with FF cheddar
Snacks - celery
I'll start taking pictures again when I make something more interesting. I do wish I could eat oatmeal for any meal I want -- it is super filling and quite tasty! I finally figured out (after three attempts) how to make it just perfect.

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 2 - Day 4
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 211.2
Weight loss to date: -11.6 lbs
Breakfast was a Kefir Smoothie and later had a nectarine
Lunch was a small side salad, fruit, carrots, FF French dressing, and a yogurt
Haven't had dinner yet but planning to go see Captain America so I will probably eat some chicken real quick and another yogurt to hold me over for the night.
I don't know what's up with my weight fluctuations. When I first got on the scale this morning it said 205 something but I decided to weigh again and I got the much higher number. Kind of disappointed I'm not below 210 yet for real. I'll get there eventually.

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 2 - Day 3
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 210.8
Weight loss to date: -12.0 lbs
Breakfast - Old fashioned oatmeal and an orange
Lunch - Steak and a baked potato wtih FF cheddar and FF sour cream.
My pictures got deleted by accident, but I have to say my Nuwave did a wonderful job on lunch. I was able to cook both items simultaneously.
After lunch I went shopping for a couple hours and started feeling bad while I was out. My stomach was NOT happy with me. I had a horrible stomach ache (and back ache - WTH?) the entire rest of the day until now, which is why I decided to get up and post. At some point when the pain subsided I had a stick of celery (I have stalks chilling in cold water in the fridge at all times) and that was a mistake, so I decided to skip dinner tonight.
I guess I overdid it on Cycle 2 foods - I figured that since I've eaten steak and potatoes on many many occasions in my life that I didn't give a second thought to my stomach not being ready for it.
Oh well, I sure hope I'm hungry for breakfast because I really want a smoothie. I've developed somewhat of an addiction to fruit and yogurt.
Read most of the remaininder of the book recently -- one of the lines I won't forget said something about having to be on a diet the rest of my life if I wanted to maintain my weight -- that I could NEVER go back to the way I was eating before. That really hit home for me.....eating the way I did -- without care for nutritional content and without respect for my body -- is what got me to the weight I am at. I am starting to view food as more of a nutritional necessity rather than pure entertainment. Kind of neat.

Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 211.2
Weight loss to date: -11.6 lbs
I had a feeling my weight would go back up! Oh well!
Today was an Accelerate day so I was back to my Cycle 1 menu. Looking forward to a steak and potato lunch tomorrow with FF sour cream and spray butter. Mmmm!
Breakfast - Kefir Smoothie (kefir, yogurt, frozen berries) + 2 egg omelette and FF cheddar cheese
Lunch - Romaine with tuna and raspberry vinaigrette dressing, + a peach (yummmmm)
Dinner - Salmon with a little bourbon bayou glaze in the Nuwave. Not in the mood for my cleansing veggies tonight. Green tea.

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 2 - Day 1
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 207.4
Weight loss to date: -15.4 lbs
I am not going to get too excited about the scale this morning because I'm pretty sure it'll be a higher number tomorrow morning. Last night I walked further than I normally walk and did it earlier in the day so I sweated out more, plus I didn't eat much for dinner. Sooooo, I doubt I'm sticking at this number.
Breakfast - Old Fashioned Oats, Peach (this was amazing) + Green Tea
Lunch - Cuke slices, carrots, apple, plain yogurt mixed with dill to dip cukes in.
Dinner - Dozen shrimp + side salad wtih the rest of cukes from lunch + Green Tea. These shrimp I bought in a huge bag from Publix -- they were frozen solid but were perfect after just 4 minutes in the Nuwave on "reheat" setting. I have to look up if I can have cocktail sauce because I needed some. If not, I'm going to douse them in lemon juice next time.
I have to say it is really weird that we don't go out anymore to eat. I am so used to eating out 3-5 times a week for various meals and we quit cold turkey. Rich hasn't even wanted to go grab something for himself. And we don't relive that annoying "what's for dinner" conversation every night. =)

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 1 - Day 17
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 211.8
Weight loss to date: -11.0 lbs
Ok, I was pretty happy to see 211.8 today. After the day I had yesterday and teeter-tottering between 212 and 213. After I got home from work Rich said let's go for a walk, so we walked and I ended up going 1.75 miles. Walking is harder at 3:30 PM vs. 7 PM. I probably got some sun on my face, too.
So today was the last day on Cycle 1 for now. Tomorrow I start Cycle 2 so I read up about it at lunch today. I'm sure looking forward to having certain foods like steak, oatmeal, and potatoes. On Cycle 2 I eat a from a menu of food choices similar to Cycle 1 with a bunch of additions. Since tomorrow is an "even" date, I will eat Cycle 2 foods on even days and Cycle 1 foods on odd days. I will do this for the next 17 days and then continue to Cycle 3. I'll be on Cycles 1-3 until I get down to my goal weight of about 150 lbs. and then I get to move on to Cycle 4. Cycle 4 I am looking forward to because I get to have "weekends off" -- not go overboard, but I can have 1-3 meals of my choice. And to be honest, I will probably not ever have McDonald's again. Did I just say that? Even after only 16 days of healthy eating, I almost can't imagine eating fast food again. I think I have gained a new respect for my body and want to treat it right for rewarding me with weight loss and energy and feeling great and sleeping better and all of those things that I have experienced in the last two+ weeks.
Today I was able to slip into my size 14 pants I've had in my closet for years. Yes, I said SLIP, I didn't have to force them on. I can't say I'm a true size 14 yet, but I am certainly close. Surely when I get below 210 I'm going to be a true size 14. For some reason I feel like true success for me will be slipping into a size 12 because I haven't been a size 12 since I graduated high school in 1995. On the other hand, I can't imagine that 60 more pounds from now I will have only gone from a size 14 to a size 12. I'm thinking more like an 8! I just remember that my white graduation day dress was a size 12 but I don't actually remember my jeans size. I certainly don't remember being in any single digit clothing. How strange.
Anyways, enough ranting for today. Here's what I ate:
Breakfast - Yogurt and blueberries and of course green tea
Lunch - Salad with balsamic and oven roasted chicken bites and a nectarine (YUM)!
For dinner I made a Kefir Smoothie: kefir, vanilla yogurt, blueberries and strawberries + 1 packet Truvia. I'm sure I'll be hungry later, but I just couldn't stomach another salad. I really need to find new ways to jazz it up.
Off to my scrapbook room to make a card and watch a movie!

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 1 - Day 15
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 213.2
Weight loss to date: -9.6 lbs
Not going to sweat the 0.4 lb gain. It happens. Tomorrow I bet will be a loss and I'll be back into double digits.
I just started reading The Hunger Games and really want to read more before I nod off, so I'm going to make this short.
Breakfast - fruit and yogurt (no pic, forgot)
Lunch - Cuke slices, roasted chicken breast, apple, Lipton green tea
Dinner - More roasted chicken over romaine with two carrots + Ken's fat free raspberry walnut dressing.
Good news: My NuWave Oven arrived in the mail today! I plan to make Eggplant Parm Casserole tomorrow for dinner and am really looking forward to it. Just have to remember to pick up a tomato and some fat free mozzarella (dummy me I just read taht I'm allowed fat free cheese on Cycle 1)

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 1 - Day 14
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 212.8
Weight loss to date: -10.0 lbs
I am thrilled! Two figures now! What can I say, I actually look forward to waking up in the morning so I can weigh in and see the results of my persistence. Clothes are fitting even better and others worse (the ones that were too big before I started). I'll be down in the ONES before I know it.
Tonight I went on a walk with Juno. Now Juno is weird in that she WILL NOT do her business anywhere else besides our back yard (she won't even go in the front yard). Of course when she was kenneled, she had to give in eventually. I normally only take her two rounds around the hood (1 mile) but I wanted to go a little further and off she went with me. She was slowing and I thought she was tired so I turned around and there she is pooping in the middle of the road. Well I didn't bring a poopy bag with me so I had to turn around and get one from the house, walk back and pick up. From now on maybe I'll care an emergency poop bag.
Now after the poop story, let's talk about what I ate today. hehehe
Breakfast - what else? Yogurt and fruit. Next time I buy yogurt I'm getting all vanilla because I like to mix it with my fruit and flavored yogurt doesn't go as well with fruit as vanilla does.
Dessert - Fruit. I'm not "supposed" to eat fruit after 2 PM for god what reason in the book, but other say it doesn't matter the time of day you eat fruit. Either way it's good for you. Das right!

(forgot to take before I ate it all - I was hungry!)
Lunch - salad with tuna, balsamic, an orange, and green tea. for some reason it was hard for me to stomach eating this whole salad this time. I think I need some new lunch recipes.
Dinner - broccoli and frozen salmon. All I hve to say is that I CAN taste a difference between frozen salmon and fresh salmon. I'm going to have to suck up the cost of buying fresh.Dessert - Fruit. I'm not "supposed" to eat fruit after 2 PM for god what reason in the book, but other say it doesn't matter the time of day you eat fruit. Either way it's good for you. Das right!
I talked to someone at work today that was trying out Nutri-System but said she gave up because she lost no weight. I asked her if she was interested in trying something different and told her about the 17 Day Diet as best I could in a short amount of time. Then I told her how much weight I've lost so far and she said she was going to go buy the book this week!
Today was my Dad's first day quitting smoking cold turkey. I hope he makes it cuz I'd sure like to have him around longer. I left him a voice mail today and told him to take it one day at a time and stay committed.

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 1 - Day 13
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 213.4
Weight loss to date: -9.4 lbs
Today I didn't eat on my regular schedule (like yesterday). I made a batch of yummy looking cookies today and I didn't have any of them. I haven't been doing my 17 minutes of exercise, but I'm going to promise myself to do it every day this week......including TONIGHT!
Breakfast - Smoothie (yogurt + fresh strawberries) and 2 eggs scrambled
Lunch - I tried making some chicken but I burned it and threw it out in frustration....skipped lunch.
Dinner - Was going to try eggplant parm or turkey meatloaf but am missing ingredients for both so Rich just put together some turkey burgers and salads.

Today's weight: 213.8
Weight loss to date: -9.0 lbs
Slept in until 9 AM today - boy that felt good! I spent time prepping my coupons and made a trip to Wal-Mart, returning home around 11:30 and quite hungry! I forgot to eat breakfast before I left.
Lunch - Smoothie with 1 container vanilla yogurt + several whole strawberries (the leaves have a lot of nutrients), small salad + balsamic vinegar.
Dinner - Here is my first attempt at a new recipe -- it is a healthier adaptation of P.F. Chang's lettuce wraps appetizer. This recipe made enough for 6 wraps and it was plenty filling and SUPER GOOD. Totally making this again. Thank you to my husband for helping me out with this one.
I was going to make eggplant parm tomorrow for dinner but I can't find low-carb marinara sauce. I will have to google it and see who makes it and where I can buy -- struck out at Publix and Wal-Mart.
I made red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing as a treat for his birthday. I really want one but I'm going to chew my Extra Sugar Free Strawberry Shortcake gum for dessert.
One thing I like about this diet is that I don't have to eat EVERYTHING that I'm supposed to eat daily (like 2 fruit servings). Dr. Moreno stresses that you shouldn't eat a shitload of broccoli just because you're allowed to -- eat until your are satisfied (of the cleansing veggies). I was so used to eating all my "points" on weight watchers that some night when I had 8 points left, I'd grab for the ice cream to eat up my points. Now how is that a good choice when compared to eating healthily?
I am looking forward to Cycle 2 (begins Friday next week) because I get to eat oatmeal again and beef. Looking forward to introducing more foods to my diet. This whole Cycle idea is to keep your body guessing by altering the caloric intake, "resetting" your metabolism so it works better and keeps your body burning fat versus plateauing, which happens on a lot of diets.
I continue to be amazed by the scale every morning and am starting to look forward to getting dressed every day. At this rate I'm going to need some new clothes for work in the next couple weeks. Darn!

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 1 - Day 11
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 214.8
Weight loss to date: -8.0 lbs
Breakfast - Yogurt and the other half of that damn grapefruit. Yeah, not sure I'm going to buy anymore of those.
Lunch - a $5.55 salad from our cafeteria. Needed protein, so I added eggs. They didn't have any dressings I could have so I got oil and vinegar. Yuk. Ate very little of this salad.
Dinner - Went to Flounder's Chowder House for Rich's birthday dinner - Ordered the Trigger Fish naked with asparagus and balsamic vinegar. I can only have certain fishies like salmon, mackerel, tuna, cod, tilapia, or flounder and NONE of these were on the menu. Did you notice I said that FLOUNDER wasn't on the menu at FLOUNDER'S? Ok, fine it was, but they only make it FRIED. That's just messed up. I did cheat a little and had one bite and one dip into butter of their special rolls, but that's it. The second picture is what Rich decided to order for dessert (peanut butter pie) and I didn't even have a taste and I reallllllllly wanted to tear it up. He regrets ordering it now, but I think he really got a lot of pleasure out of eating that in front of me....especially describing it as a "giant reeses cup"......ahem.....those are my FAVORITE. Oh well, I didn't have any and that's what leg I have to stand on.
Needless to say I am extremely happy with my loss so far and I was even able to wear a pair of jeans today that I haven't worn in many years. I am on my way.

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 1 - Day 10
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 216.0
Weight loss to date: -6.8 lbs
Breakfast - Yogurt & half grapefruit + one packet of Truvia. Not sure I will buy grapefruit again. It was so sour! But bearable with the sugar substitute. Not sure yet how I feel about grapefruit.
Lunch - Romaine with tuna and raspberry vinaigrette. I didn't actually eat the yogurt in the pic.

Snack - red delicious apple
Dinner - Salmon and green beans + green tea. Burnt my salmon a bit because it wasn't an even cut but the burnt part was actually pretty yummy!
This weekend the goal is to find a couple new recipes because the only thing keeping me going eating this same damn food everyday is the constant loss on the scale.

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 1 - Day 8
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 217.2
Weight loss to date: -5.6 lbs
Today was not a normal day! Was in the ER for several hours last night with my hubs - he must've gotten some kind of stomach bug. So we were up quite late and I didn't make it into work until 11:30. So I missed breakfast.
Lunch - Salad with leftover lemon pepper chicken & strawberries
Dinner - Salad with balsamic and more leftover chicken (no pic)
Happy with a .2 lb. loss but hoping fore more tomorrow!

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 1 - Day 7
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 217.4
Weight loss to date: -5.4 lbs
Breakfast - Yogurt & Berries
Lunch - Salad w/chicken breast and tangy balsamic dressing.
Dinner - Lemon Pepper Chicken to go from Publix (no skin)
I'm not really hungry at all and haven't actually eaten dinner yet....I may have a small side salad because I love that tangy dressing so much. I haven't exercised today but plan on going for a quick walk later with Juno if it's not raining. Plus my honey is pretty sick so I don't want to leave him alone too long.
I'm very happy with my weight loss; however, my scale thinks its pretty funny and I don't appreciate the humor. When I first weighed in this morning, it was almost 2 lbs. lighter than it was when I went back and weighed again about 30 min it was 217.5. WhatEV! Scale better not be playin tomorrow.

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 1 - Day 6
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 218.2
Weight loss to date: -4.6 lbs
Who knows what's up with my .2 gain, I'm not going to sweat it.
Breakfast - 2 eggs + 1 egg white, scrambled
Lunch - Yogurt (that's it, I was on the run, so didn't eat what I was supposed to)
Snack - 2 carrots
Dinner - a disasterous cod fillet on the GFG (George Foreman Grill) - I didn't eat much of this. Thought I would like it since I like fried cod....I was mistaken. Also had a small side salad w/cucumber, red pepper, onions, and Publix Tangy Balsamic (yum) that Rich made me (thank you, honey).
Snack - since I didn't eat much of my fish, I had a smoothie made from 1 container of vanilla yogurt, mixed berries, and 1 packet of Truvia. DELICIOUS!
I also did my 18 minute Leslie Sansone 1 mile walk DVD. That's all folks.....oh here's my cute pup Juno...

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 1 - Day 5
Today went well! Although I didn't get my 17 minutes of exercise in. I slept in until 8, took a 2 hour nap later and went to see Super 8 tonight. Very pleasant day!
I meant to do all of my weigh ins in the morning but up until today I had been weighing in after work. So I weighed in this morning and my jaw dropped. I hope that changing my weigh in time doesn't show a gain when I go tomorrow. We shall see, but until then, I have to enjoy my swift successs.
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 218.0
Total loss to date: 4.8
Breakfast - Mixed fresh berries and 2 hard boiled eggs (with some salt....c'mon those are hard to eat without salt!)
Lunch - Large salad with romaine* and spinach, grilled chicken carrots, cucumbers, celery, red peppers, parmesan cheese, FF raspberry vinagrette dressing.
*I thought that I liked spinach but realized after eating today's lunch that I like the spinach that comes in those creamy spinach & artichoke dips at various restaurants. Not the same thing when it's eaten fresh!
Snack - Orange
Dinner - Rich seasoned some fajita chicken for me and sauteed it with onions and green pepper so I kind of felt like I was having fajitas with him except no tortillas or cheese....or sour cream. But I wasn't even hungry for dinner. This food I'm eating keeps me fuller longer!
Movie - Huge water (no popcorn or candy!)
Snack - Mixed berries
So I got through the first day of the weekend and think tomorrow I'll do just fine. I'm planning to get 2 walks in tomorrow or possibly do my 1-mile Leslie Sansone walk video which runs right at 18 minutes.
My next goal is to build my own workout into Runkeeper so my coach can take me through intervals. I want do do some jogging in with my walking to ramp up my workouts.

Dinner - Tilapia, Green Tea.....
Snack - Yogurt
Weekends have always been a problem for me on any diet, so I'm hoping I can make it through.

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 1 - Day 3
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 220.2
Weight loss to date: -2.6 lbs
Breakfast - Yogurt and blueberries
Lunch - Salad with grilled chicken, red bell peppers, cukes, an extra carrot, ff rasp vinaigrette
Dinner - no pic....Had another turkey burger and an entire green bell pepper (i love those things)
Snack in between breakfast and dinner was an orange.
So my thoughts for today are that I still feel really great -- I'm amazed that I still haven't had any heartburn, and most amazed that I am not craving my Pepsi Max or Coke Zero (by the way, I may have several 12 packs to give away!) Just knowing I'm doing my body good is a great feeling.

The 17 Day Diet - Cycle 1 - Day 2
Starting weight: 222.8
Today's weight: 222.0
Weight loss to date: -0.8 lbs
Woke up at 4 AM and did a quick walk in a very peaceful neighborhood with my pup Juno. I haven't seen 4 AM for ages! Not sure if this is going to be a regular occurrence.
Breakfast
Protein or probiotic serving = 2 scrambled eggs
Fruit serving = 1 cup fresh strawberries
Green tea
Lunch
Protein or probiotic serving = tuna
Cleansing vegetables = Generous bed of greens with 2 tbsp FF raspberry vinaigrette (I was skeptical about having tuna that wasn't mixed with mayo and relish, but this was absolutely delicious!) + 1 cup celery
Water
This salad tasted so good I forgot to take a picture until it was almost gone.
Snack
Forgot to eat it! but wasn't hungry either...
Dinner
Protein serving = 4 oz turkey burger. Now remember I'm a baker, not a cook. I had Rich help me season this with fresh garlic, Mrs. Dash onion and herbs, salt, pepper and he mixed it up for me (I didn't want to put my hands in that mess) Cooked for about 4 min on the Foreman. Delish!
Cleansing vegetables = Green beans leftover from last night's dinner (the quantity of beans on my plate really dwarf the turkey burger, but really the turkey burger was plenty!
Green tea
So I haven't had my 2nd probiotic serving today or my 2nd fruit serving, so dammit I'm having yogurt with strawberries tonight for dessert! Usually I had 6 double stuf oreos and a mug full of milk (which happens to be what Rich is eating right now, although I can't say he's eating half a dozen of them).
So I was happy to see a loss of .8 lbs after one day -- any progress is good progress. It's amazing after only 6 meals -- six GOOD meals -- how great I feel! Aside from my dull headache I can only attribute to caffeine withdrawal, I am more energetic and haven't had that "2:30" feeling the last two days when I think my head's going to drop on the desk and pass out because I had a heavy/fried/unhealthy lunch. It's really great!
The book says I can change what my taste buds get used to -- before they were used to sugary fatty foods and this 17 days (cycle 1) is supposed to get me used to having not so sugary foods (which is why I can't have bananas, but who knew bananas were high in sugar?!).
I wonder if I'll have my #1 at Mickie's again. But then again I wonder if I'll ever WANT it again. I can't imagine a life without the golden arch fries. But then again I can't imagine a life having diabetes or high cholesterol or not wearing shorts in the depths of a Florida summer. Ask me if I own any shorts. That answer is NOPE. Not even any I wear around the house. Ask me again next July. I plan on having a special "shorts" drawer in my closet this time next year.
